Default affairs of the heart patterns

just got the book and am looking thru it.......I know someone here posted a pic of hers not to long ago.........I am not a true fan of hand applique...has anyone tried this with fusible web? Also the embroidery "curls" in the book she states to use emb floss, doesn't say how many strands....I think I would like to use pearl cotton....thicker and more substantial looking...what do you think??????? Does ready made bias tape (thin) come in rainbow colors...that would work on the border adding balls for the comma part........I just don't know about reverse applique??? That I have never tried.........I may try hand app one block and see how it works........this may take longer than Dear Jane!!!!!!

That quilt is on my bucket list. I have some of the templates made--probably up to block 10. I haven't done needle turned appliqué before, but I have done fusible web machine appliqué. Thought I would give it a try. I have a quilt almost 1/2 done then it's Affairs of the Heart's turn. I wish you luck!!!

I am working on my Affair of the Heart quilt and I am using fusable applique and machine stitching the edges of the applique. I am also using some of the built in stitches in my machine for accenting the applique design. A pattern is just a suggestion. Do it your own way for your own look.
