If you are wanting designs that are African American babys just change the color of the thread.

Thanks. The colors of the rag quilt will be pink on top, blue in the middle and yellow on the bottom. The emb. designs will be done in blue.

I'm curious, are rag quilts safe for small babies? Not criticising, just wondering about loose threads and/or nooks and crannies being hard to keep really clean.

My understanding from the mother is that is will be a keepsake for use later when the child is older. I have made several other quilts for babies, this being the first rag quilt-but I did worry with your same concerns and discussed this with the mother. But I am still in need of emb. designs of African Am. babies. Any suggestions?

You are very welcome!!! It is a shame that they bury these cute embroideries in their websites and do not name them well for doing an internet search!!!

I did a wall hanging using Black Americana: Fun Time - it is a set of 9 embroidery patterns. Can't seem to get the picture loaded on the computer :( . The pattern has a web site listed - if this doesn't work there is a phone # listed on the pattern 661-873-9509. Good luck and have a lot of fun. www.redwork.info
