Has anyone used the Alto Pro? It's a lot bigger than the Alto 2. How do the two compare? Mostly I'll be cutting fat quarters and eigths. Or is there another efficient way to rotary cut? I have a terrible time with slippage.

My understanding is that the pro is better for quilt stores where they have to cut larger sizes of fabric and cut more frequently. I have the alto 2, and I love it. I also cut fat quarters and sometimes other sizes, but I've even been able to use it to cut larger sizes by folding the fabric carefully and using a new rotary blade. See if there is anyone in the area who is selling it or contact one of the reps they have on the site. The price will probably be less expensive than thru the company online store. I bought mine at a local quilt show.

I recently got the Alto 2 and I'm loving it. I just keep it set up all the time. Makes my cutting easier and more accurate.

I have the Alto's also, but not the Pro, I also understand that it is mainly for the quilt shops. I love it and it has made my cutting much more accurate. You can fold the fabric and cut through 8-10 layers, with a new blade.

I just got my Alto Quilt Cut 2 and love it. I cut a whole quilt out yesterday. My cutting has never been so accurate. Yesterday was the first time I had ever used it, so the learning curve is minimal. I called two of my sisters and told them that they have to have one.

My Alto's is my best friend. I can cut accurately and with much less problems from my arthritis. I'm surprised I haven't worn out my mat yet!

The Alto's and my Pfaff's are what keep me quilting.
