Am I the only one out here that doesn't have a quilting machine???? I make queen size quilts and have to quilt all by hand, which takes forever! I keep asking for a quilter but know in this small place I'll never get one.....oh boo whooo for me. Sorry just being jealous of all the beautiful work you all do.
Thanks.

I have a regular size Bernina that I have quilted all of my own quilts on. Over 200 of them. It is not fun to quilt a queensize on but it can be done...

I sometimes make a whole quilt by hand. I enjoy the process but I do have a sewing machine or two that I use :)

You're not the only one. I don't have a quilting machine either.

I use my Janome to quilt my quilts. I take the king-size ones to the quilt shop and rent a quilting machine for the day to get those done.

you do not need a special machine to machine quilt a quilt- you only need practice

many many fabulous- famous - spectacular international award winning quilters quilt on a domestic machine (the same machine they piece with)

there are tons of tutorials, videos and classes available to help you learn to free motion quilt with your domestic machine.

the first quilt i ever quilted was an $89 brother i bought at walmart- took a class at the lqs and did quite well.

it does not take anything special- just the desire and lots of practice.
