Default Fleece quillows

I am looking for the best way to make a fleece quillow. I prefer to have finished edges.

A few years ago I made some of these for Christmas. I cut a "pocket" 18 inches square and stitched it in place at the halfway point of the bottom. Then I finished the edges with my serger. They are still loved by those who got them.

I too finish my fleece edges with my serger. I use wooly nylon in the upper and lower looper. You can use the same color or a different color in each looper, one color will be on top and the othe color on the bottom.

Thanks, but I don't have a serger. Should I attach the pocket with tiny zigzag.. That is what looked untidy when I made a fleece one a few years ago. Attaching the pocket is where my challenge is.
Im planning to make a whole bunch for Xmas gifts this year and want them to look nice.
