A neighbor died last year and she was a quilter. Her DH asked me if I wanted her quilt books. He brought over several boxes of them and one box was full of Amazing Designs cds. I don't have an embroidery machine so don't know anything about these. There are many Martha Pullen design cds too. Will the cds work for all embroidery machine? She had a Viking and Bernina. Are they useful to embroiders now? Some packages have never been opened. Are they worthwhile for a machine embroiderer to want?

They are still very desirable CDs. The ones that haven't been opened should sell for a premium price -- especially if they are ones that are not now available and someone really wanted it. Check the prices on ebay.....

The Martha Pullen CDs are also especially nice and are very pricey if you buy them new.

As far as different brands of embroidery machines using these CDs, most CDs will have a list on the back of what programs that are available on that particular CD: art. is Bernina, etc.

Let us know if you'd like to sell or trade some of them.... :D

I don't have an embroidery machine, but Martha Pullen?
She's awesome.
She is the editor of Sew Beautiful magazine and a whole lot more. She does heirloom sewing, gorgeous stuff.
If you do sell on e-bay, you should make a pretty penny.

A dear lady I know lost her husband last year and I saw her yesterday and she told me she bought herself an embrodiery machine to have something to occupy her time at home and is having so much fun making things for her grandkids. She said she never liked to sew but she loves the embroidery machine. I gave her the box of design cds today and she was thrilled. She only had the ones that came as a gift with machine purchase. She called me later today and said so far she had no problem using them and already has more projects in mind that will take her years to do. I told her I know exactly how that was! I know she'll enjoy them. :-D
