Hi HJ, Thanks for the offer of the snow but just like to remember it. Although it is so hot where I live we still have snow right on top of the very high mountains it is really weird to see.

Glad you found that site okay, think it might be helpful.
Can you get out of your house? Where in this World are you?
    Those strawberries sound real nice.

Have you ever heard of Denver, Colorado USA? I am in Rapid City, SD, about 350 miles north of Denver. Tourists come here to see Mount Rushmore National Moniment. Go on line and see where I am. :)

I am able to get out of the house in spite of the snow, however, I suffer from an illness called Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and it pretty much rules my life, so I don't quilt as much as I once did. The illness has reached epidemic staus in th USA. It isn't contageous. I am the only one in our family that has it.

    Take care.

:) Found this wonderful site earlier this AM. They don't have patterns, but show several Lone Star quilts. It would be worth your while to check it out. Be prepared to spend some time looking at all of the quilts done by the Amish.

    Enjoy

Hi there, aaahhh so sorry about the illness which I have not heard of before, these things can be so debilitating, so I am going to send you a bit of sunshine to brighten up your life which should pop up below.

I have heard of Mount Rushmore, but will go on line to see exactly where you are, I am about 45 mins away from Malaga where I fly out of to go to England to see my kids (2) both grown now.

The Amish sure did wonderful quilts. I saw a beauty and must see if I can find the site again the colours were out of this world. Have a good day. Elle

Hi HJ I looked at the Amish site and WOW are they not wonderful. The prices, well of course I liked the most expensive, but then I would. They are very beautiful though and to think of all that hand sewing just makes my hands ache. LOL

Wow Butterfly! If that was my village I would never get any quilting done, because I would always be gazing out the window!

    Hey, HJ.
My oldest used to live in Rapid City, well...actually it was Ellsworth AFB.
I used to visit there alot. One of my favorite places to go was the winery up in, UGH!! I forget where, but you had to drive past the exit to go to Mt Rushmore. We would go there all the time when I visited. Loved it there. Even got to see the fireworks, which were awesome. Keystone is a great little town, we did some of the gold panning, but didn't find much. lol
My daughter used to work for United Mileage Plus there. That's how I got to go visit her all the time. Loved the perks! ;)

The Amish Lone Star Quilt that I looked at on:
    [url]www.amishcountrylanes.com

is made up of small diamonds. They make an eight piont star.

I don't know if this is the one you want or not, if it is let me know, I have some quilt books and I might have the pattern in one.
