if you visit the web site- AnotherbyAnita- she has some great angels to choose from- stained glass patterns- i've done a number of Anita's designs- they are easy to do, and spectacular! then it's easy enough to add blocks/borders to enlarge to quilt size.

Sindy Rodenmeyer has a block of the month going on now and they are all angels. Fat Cat Patterns is one of my favorite sites. The best part is they are FREE.

I have made two angel quilts from a Buggy Barn Book. The whole quilt takes about one or two days to make.

This should be the pattern.

You can make any number of angels and add or leave off the border. In one version, I used an angel border print and only the words Love. I used the colors of the border for the angels. In another one, I embroidered halos on the angels with one barely hanging on.

Their technique is so easy.

Loved the Angel Babies quilt!

Have you considered making a more traditional pattern using fabric with angels printed on them? I bought some "Angel" fabric a few years ago thinking I would make something for my MIL since she also collects angels. Haven't come up with just the right project yet.
