I found an on-line store with great prices for batting, but the shipping cost for it is huge, so no real savings after you add on the shipping. I read on here that many of you get batting this way, do you really save by doing it? Please share your secrets. Thanks!

I have ordered on=line from JoAnn's when it's half off and sometimes you can get a free shipping coupon

I have also ordered from Connecting Threads. They put the batting on sale 2-3 times a year, add to that the free shipping over $50 and you can save quite a lot!

i order from joanns with a 50% coupon and i order from Batt Mart online.

joann's is good with shipping because its based on price not size or weight and with the coupon the shipping price is reduced also.

with Batt Mart they charge by weight and size and it typically costs around $30-40 to ship an entire bolt to my home.

i only buy bolts of batting

I only buy bolts of batting as well. I buy from
www.heartbeatquilting.com

They charge me 15$ to ship a whole bolt. But they sell their stock at wholesale price to the public..so it is still quite affordable.

When Connecting Threads or fabric.com has batting on sale, I stock up. I don't think I've ever ordered less than their "free shipping" thresholds, so I never pay a shipping charge with them.

I have ordered from Overstock.com. Their shipping is $2.95, I believe. I get Warm and Natural and Warm and White. Saves running around, etc.

I order my W&N from JoAnn's, when it's on sale with free shipping. Usually just after Christmas (or Thanksgiving) they have the batting 50% off, free shipping, AND a coupon for additional savings, and I've managed to take advantage of all 3 bargains at once.
