I just googled "diamond log cabin quilt" and came up with quite a few photos. May be patterns also.

Our very own Dunster designed and wrote a pattern for Diamond Log Cabin. She uses it as her Avatar. You might want to try PMing Dunster to see if she still has copies of the pattern for sale. She self published it and the quilts that have been made from it are drop dead gorgeous.

Here is a link to one of her posts about it. Turquoise Diamond Log Cabin Star quilt finished

If it starts with a triangle, it might be a "Twisted Log Cabin." Here's a link to one I found on Google... http://myquiltplace.com/photo/windmi...sted-log-cabin

Are you thinking of Barn Raising Log Cabin. Just google that. I can't read the rest of the thread as eye drops aren't working this a.m.

There is one in an ebook available from Annie's e-patterns called "Inspirations from Precuts" on page 37.

I think Eleanor Burns has a diamond log cabin pattern.

A book with several diamond/triangle patterns called "Not Your Grandmother's Log Cabin" by Marci Baker may have a design that you are looking for.
