I stopped by Machine Quilting by Iva in Sevierville last month on a short vacation to Gatlinburg. Found some great fabric and notions not available here. They were very friendly and my husband got to sit in the rocking chairs out front. I have two sons living in Knoxville we try to visit 3 or 4 times a year. What are some good shops there?

Yes please

I did go to Roosters (not nearly enough) loved her shop but she was smaller than some of the others. Rumor is that someone is going to reopen the store but i have not heard when.

Have you heard about the new store in Greenback "Mountain Creek Quilt shop" i think . it is qperated by Terri Ayers--she was working the longarm machine at Sweetwater Quilt shop. I think it is by the Dollar General--i haven't got to go there yet. Hopefully next weekend.

Thank you. That is another half hour in the opposite direction. Maybe next time.

What else is in Charlott for me to see? I have never been there.

I haven't been there myself yet (hopefully in January)
but my friend just got back from a stay in Boone and they found five or six shops listed in the Quilters Traveler. It is the book that list all the quilt shops in it in every State that requests to be listed.

Ninnie goes regularly check with her to see where else to go.
