Have strip joined this Rainbow quilt top for my GD Emma. Sandwiched w/lavender flannel. Batting Hobbs cotton 2-4 inch spacing. Should I SID -crosshatch or wavy lines ?

I would either SID or wavy lines...cross hatching is too much work!

Hmmmm,, since it's to be a rainbow, large curved lines....
It depends. I love crosshatching but with all the colors, it might not work out. I would stitch in the ditch and then maybe do a curving line or circles or loops and have fun in each strip.

I would not SITD on a quilt like this, where all the seams go in the same direction. I don't think it would add anything to the quilt, and it might even make it a little wonky. I like nativetexan's idea of long curved lines. Or Baptist fan would be great.
This will be lovely! I did a similar rainbow quilt. I find it extremely difficult to do sitd. Instead, I did a straight stitch about 1/4 inch on each side of the lengthwise seams. I like it...simple and clean looking.
But I bet whatever you do will look awesome!
