I have not had that problem with mine.
If it really bugs you contact Fiskars and I bet they would replace it.
Or how about a bit of clear nail polish when you change the blade.
You could break the seal when you change the blade the next time.

I bought an inexpensive no-name that does that. Got it for the comfort grip handle. I figured I got what I paid for--something cheap--so I went back to using my old Fiskars. I'm planning on getting a good quality cutter with a better grip. I'm waiting for them to go on sale. Guess I'll have to research the forum to see which brands everyone has had GOOD experience with.

Thanks everyone for your ideas and suggestions. Loretta I don't know if my blade is on backwards or not- how do you tell? If you get a response from Fiskars, it sounds like more than just myself will appreciate it. Thanks again
