I've started my QFK quilt from my stash to mail back with the one from their fabric. Can it be partially white? The blocks I'm making are wanting to sashed with white. Does the organization care. It will have to be washed often anyhow, so it shouldn't matter. I won't use white binding because bindings show dirt too quickly.

I reviewed their web-site several times before making a quilt, and didn't come across any restrictions on color. So, I think white is fine!

I looked at their site and are thinking about doing this soon. If you have them send you the kit, does it come with a pattern or instructions or do you make up your own?

It comes with instructions on how to put them together. Very worthwhile project. You send in one of your own with it when you send it back to them.

Downy sent quality fabric already precut and good directions, though probably not comprehensive. I did buy my own binding. The company sent a big enough backing to wrap around, but I prefer a separate double binding and I wanted a brighter color. I did have to provide the batting, but it's not a very big quilt.
