Sounds like it should be fine! I must be do a lot of daydreaming lately because I'm making some dopey mistakes. Today I was adding borders that need to be mitered. I added both side borders and cut them both off even, not leaving any extra to do the miters. That's just today's senior moment.

What about a hand wash to dissolve the glue?

I think it is going to be awfully heavy......but short of washing what you have done, not sure you can undo the glue. Of course, a lot will depend on the type of batting you have used. Some people actually use two batts for the loft! Good luck.....I don't envy you...Please tell us what you decide to do. And then, tell us how it comes out!!!

I don't think those moments are limited to seniors! I think it is more matter of focus. We get into rhythm and our minds wander. This can get very dangerous when working with our tools. I was teaching a basic sewing class and when I demonstrated the rotary cutter, I got distracted and cut off the side of my index finger- to the bone, slicing thru the artery. Spent the next 8 months sewing with a finger cage - a super challenge. Lesson learned - I take a break at least every hour to get a drink of water, pet the animals or just gaze out the window. A couple minutes really improves focus.

OMG I'm still laughing. This is something I would do. Thanks for sharing this with us.
