Question Antique Dresden blocks--arranging eight blocks

I was given four vintage Dresden plate blocks. They are very scrappy with few repeats and two of them have the same background and the other two have completely different backgrounds. To make the blocks go further and to give some continuity to the quilt, I cut each block into fourths so I had 16 fans. I am combining two fans with a solid yellow and a solid blue to form a four patch block. The problem is I will end up with eight blocks.

I scanned one of the blocks in a 14 inch scanner so not all of the block shows.

I don't want to make it into a large quilt but I can't decide how to arrange the blocks. The only idea I have so far is to do a four patch of the yellow and blue and make that the center block. I would welcome any suggestions. Oh, the yellows match better than the picture shows.

When I have things like that, I just add sashing - Google images dresdan plate quilts and see what they've done, looking for sashing ideas - or whatever...Google images has been my best friend!
