I love mine, pin cushion and thread catcher together and to empty turn the catcher inside out in to trash container.

The bag is attached by velcro on mine & you just take it off & dump it, or the lazy way put your hand in the bag & pull out the pieces.

I took a class on making mine at our LQS. I just wanted to tell you that inside the bag is ground walnut shells that you purchase at a gun shop. At least that is what the instructor has us put in ours. I have two...one for home and one for my smaller machine that goes with me to classes.
