Hi,

I was talking to my friend on the phone this evening and her uncle wants her to make a quilt like his mom made years ago.

Highway thru Texas with flower sacks

Anyone know about this pattern design?

Hi,

I just found this link for flour sacks to make a quilt, I bet this is what she is talking about?

Have any of you made these quilts?

http://hubpages.com/hub/Feedsack-Quilts

found this article on feedsack quilts, really cool and will make you laugh, enjoy

I have never seen a quilt made up with them and I will need to start looking at the antique stores to see if I can find them.

If anyone has any pictures of them that you have would love to see them.

I just found this link on our board where a quilter made one out of her aunts fabrics.

Wow, awesome story and read thru as in the end she post the finished quilt with photos, how cool.

Does her uncle have any photos of the quilt? Or can he make a sketch of the pattern for your friend?

Feedsacks are fun to collect and quilt with. I have found them with some of the vendors at quilt shows.
