I am looking into getting this http://quiltcut.com/products_quiltcut2.html and was wondering if anyone here has one, and if you do, your opinion of it. Pros and Cons?? Any advice would be awesome!!
when quilting cutting is my strongest weakness, thus the reason for looking into purchasing this.

I really appreciate your time :O}

I have an older model and would not cut with anything else. Got in at a garage sale for $10.00. I love the rigid surface, very stable. I rarely use the ruler that came with it, but I just love it.

I have had mine since just after the 2 came out, probably 5 years or so. I like it. It does require some space and you need a safe location for the T square part as you do not want it bent. I got it when I was doing all my sewing in the living room still and had to be careful nobody sat a purse on it. So space and storage are considerations but it does help with some tasks a lot. Now that I have a sewing room it can remain out on a table or down flat either one. The board can be stood against a wall or between two pieces of furniture and the mat stored flat under a couch or a bed. You always need a really sharp blade if cutting multiple layers and need to be real sure you know how to correctly get on the straight of grain and then check often. It does not work to cut large blocks unless they have made it accommodate larger cuts since I got mine but it is awesome for strips,rectangles, squares and diagonals. My husband bought it for me for my birthday and I feel like it was money well spent even though I have not used it as often lately. I have been doing a lot with scraps and they are just as easy on a regular mat.

I have it and it's wonderful. I use it all the time, it's very accurate and a big time saver. Do a search on the board and you will see a lot of comments on this

I have had mine for about 6 months now. I don't know how I cut without it. I love mine. I use it all the time. I have a permanent table it stays out on. Well worth the money.

A friend of mine has it and loves it. She won't cut anything without it. Yes, you do need to room to be able to use it but seems well worth it. I wanted to get one as well - we both saw it at the Lancaster show a couple of years ago - but was just too cheap at the time. I'm usually okay with cutting yardage but if I had tons of strips or squares to cut I'd be running over to her house in a heartbeat!
