My friend got one from her mom, and I'm trying to teach her how to quilt... unfortunately, we can't figure out how to put the feed dogs down!! Her mom never used it so it's brand new!

Anyone help?

Of course it didn't come with a manual.

How neat! You may be able to find a manual online if you google it. Some sites sell manuals, but sometimes you can find one to download free. Have fun!

The feed dogs may not go down. If she received all the original attachements, there may be a plate to cover the feed dogs, instead.

I have only been able to find them for sale :( we just need that one bit of info so we dont want to pay $15 for it!

I hoped one of my fellow quilters would have one and be able to tell us!

I should have realized you'd searched already. I wish I could help, but I'm not familiar with that Singer model. I have a Singer Rocketeer 401A and a Featherweight.

I did a search of the Singer site. When you request a manual for the 93220, they tell you to use the manual from a model 4572. I found a parts manual for the 4572 online. Below is the link to the manual:

http://www.brewersewing.com/StockIma...nuals/4572.pdf

The parts manual references a cover plate for the feed dogs on the accessories page. I do not believe the feed dogs go down on this machine. I hope this helps.

This is the repair manual......it is in PDF format and can be saved and it is free. From what I read there is a cover for the feed dogs which means they do not drop.

Hope this helps.
