I remember seeing it in a quilt magazine but done remember which one. You might want to check this book out.

The solid colors are a simple 9 patch so it the flowers you need to be able to make.

After reading this thread yesterday, I got the book from the library this morning: "Fantastic Fabric Folding" by Rebecca Wat. The pattern called "Springtime Impression I" is in the book along with instructions on folding the flowers for it. The picture of the quilt in the book matches the picture on the initial post here.
I am ready to try folding a flower and then will decide if I want to do a quilt. I think it would make a wonderful lap robe quilt for someone with Alzheimer's because of the tactile experience. Buttons in the flower centers would add to that.
