Default Anyone that knows anything about EQ7

Several years back my husband bought me EQ7. I played with it for awhile and then just put it aside. I have decided it's time to learn how to do this software, but there's a problem. When I go to put a name in for create a new project, it comes up "Not A Valid Filename". Then when I'm going to close the program, a window comes up that says, "Access to C:\Users\Lynnette\My EQ7\RES\EQbackup.PJ7 was Denied". I tried deactivating it in this computer and reactivating it, but nothing changed. Can anyone help me? I just got some, EQ and Me books, so I need to learn the basics, so I can work with my new books. Any help anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.

You probably just need to contact their support team for help with that. They might have to issue a new activation code or something.

Do you have it installed on a Mac? EQ support has a help file for this error:http://support.electricquilt.com/

I would contact EQ thru email. go to their website and there are numerous ways of contacting them. Be sure you have the book that came with your software because it has the program ID for you program. Might be a good time to register your program before contacting them. You can do that on their website too.
