Can anyone tell me anything about this machine and if it's a good machine? Thank you very much, Jeanne.
This is a great machine, I have one that is about 20 years old and it was somewhere around $1500.00 to $1800.00 then. $800.00 is a great deal and you will never regret getting it. They are the best machines made.

It looks very much like my Bernina 1230, which I *love*. My only concern about the machine would be the age of the electronics on it. If the motherboard were to go out on my machine, for example, it would probably not be worthwhile to try to repair it. My machine cost in the neighborhood of $1500 new about 15 years ago.
I have a 1230 which is very dear to my heart. However, I have been told that Bernina is not making the motherboards anymore for the 1230 and I don't know what other older models. It seems there was a flood in the factory and it ruined some machines that they are not going to replace so they won't be manufacturing much for older machines. Bad news for me....I dearly love my 1230.

I also bought a second hand one , after owning a 1090. Still one of the Swiss made ones. One of thee nicest machines i have ever worked one. Not crazy about the new vokputorized ones and they stent madd in Switzerland any more - sadly.
