    Anyone own a BlockRockit

Hi, I'm new to the Quilting Board, my name is Pat, live near the Jersey Shore. have been quilting for over 20 yrs and really want to start free motion quilting on a long arm for my own personal use. I am interested in the BlockRockit and was wondering if any members own one and could give me the pros and cons of it. Thanks!

I utilized the search feature and found 2 threads where this has been discussed. Hope they help.

Peckish - just so you know for the future, pasting the link for search results does not work to show others your results... it comes up invalid.

No help with the machine, sorry. Just wanted to say welcome to the board. My parents are from the shore, I was born in Somerspoint but moved south when very young.

I tried a Block RockIt at Quilt Week in Albuquerque in January--it was WAY cool! and the price is very reasonable for what it is. I really liked the stitch regulator--much better than the one I tried on the Sweet 16 sit down machine.

However, I realized I didn't like the fact that even with the Block RockIt (in fact, any mid or long arm machine) you are restricted to the width of no more than 1' or so. I like to do diagonals across quilts, etc. and you'd have to roll it back and forth to do that. SO...I'm about to order a sewing table (probably from Tracey's Tables) with a surface that will support the quilt, and let me do FMQ with my 11" throat machine.

There is a very helpful Yahoo Group for the Block RockIt--I highly recommend it if you're considering the machine, and especially if you buy one.

Hi, I purchased a Tracey Table from our quilt expo and all I have is the receipt from them.... have emailed them a couple times and no answer.... I am just a little worried that they haven't contacted me at all... it's been three weeks since my order.... can you tell me how your order experience went with them? I loved the tables at the show and can't wait to get mine... just a little disappointed in their customer service so far....
