I've made dozens and would be glad to send you my pattern if you pm your email. I think there are 3 sizes but I usually make the small one for children and the large one for adults. I'm out of town till the weekend so can't send it till I get to my other computer. I could just post the pattern in the tutorials. It's a scanned document so don't know if I can post it or not. I'll try this weekend. I'd be glad to send it to anyone that wants it.

[quote=Joeysnana]Does anyone remember how to make a "quilt in a pocket?" It is from the 80s. I think you made a lap quilt and sewed a block on the front in which you left one side of the block unsewn. Then you folded up the quilt and stuffed it inside of the block thereby creating a pillow. I need to make one for my granddaughter but can't recall how to do it exactly. Anyone remember

McCalls or Simplicity has it in their newest catalog. I saw it last week. I made several of them for gifts in the 80s.

They are called Quillows. I recently made one for each of my 2 teenage grand-daughers. I had made them in the past but not for years so had a little trouble remembering where/when the pocket goes on. I also made them a little larger than the ones I used to make. (at their request) I see there have been some websites posted for you. Good luck!

I think you put the pocket on the front, bottom of the quilt--in the middle; leaving the pocket open on the bottom edge. When you turn the quilt over, fold each side to the middle, fold it into the front pocket, it becomes a pillow. Make sense?
