Hi there,

Despite my user name, I spend part of my year in Sacramento, and wondered if anyone had tips on quilt shops in the area?

Thanks!

Maren

I'm just south of Sac about 45 min in Galt - no quilt shop here. But in Sacrament there are several but my favorite is Quilters Corner on Bradshaw and Hwy 50. The best !!!! Also in Elk Grove there is a shop called Country Sewing - nice selection of fabric - clerks not always friendly but I just do my own thing.
Then there is Meissners in Sacramento also- fabric and many classes and sewing machines. Let me know when you'll be in Sac and maybe I get meet up with you .

There are several quilt stores in Sacramento, Cameron Park, El Dorado Hills, Roseville etc. Beverly's also carries LQS manufacturers and there are 2 or 3 Beverly's in the area. We've had a couple stores close in the area, but still have a decent variety;>

Agree with Quilter's Corner-fabulous! Also Bearpaws and Hollyhocks, Beverly's in Carmichael, Running with scissors in Citrus Heights and Meissners.

Maren, Welcome from Pleasanton, down the road towards Oakland from Sac.

I grew up in Carmichael and have to agree with the others on some of these stores. If you get the chance, you have got to stop in and visit some of the guilds in the area as well.

While helping my local guild, I visited some of the guilds and there are a LOT of dedicated quilters out there!

Thank you so much, to you and everyone! This is great information, and I can't wait to start visiting.

Bearpaws is closed due to retirement of the owner but a few of the gals opened a new store in the Country Club Plaza called Fabric Garden.
