Its not the best quilting day for me....

I have a wedding quilt to make too, but it doesn't need to be ready until August, so I still have a little time yet!!

The day was lots of fun and I hope to have a picture to post one of these days. Thank goodness for weekends, it off to work this morning.....
Sounds like a great quilt Joan!! I made a lap quilt for my Dad years ago, but unfortunately it didnt' get finished in time. He passed away 9 years ago. He loved to take afternoon naps and curl under a blanket! HE would cover up his head too! LOL I continued making the lap/nap qult top, but have yet to quilt it. I couldnt' bring myself to finish it yet.. but much time has past and I do still plan to complete it. It was blue and white with applique flowers all over it. He loved his garden and planting flowers and shrubs. I called the quilted "Flowers for Daddy". I will use it for my afternoon cat naps now. I will feel a little closer to him when I use it. I am an only child and I was very very close to my Dad. Yep I was a Daddy's Girl.. and although he is gone and I'm 36 years old (turned 36 week ago today) I am still a Daddy's Girl!! :)

I cant' wait to see the photo Joan!

Celtic knots are alot of fun you will love them!! I made a pillow throw for my bed from a celtic knot.. eventually I would love to do a full size quilt! good luck with it!

Well, Aggi......I opted to go with scrappy and a cream background and plan to put some color for the sashing, blue or sage perhaps? Anyway, here are 13 of the blocks on my design wall so far...have more made but this is all that will fit on my small flannel wall! LOL I have a close up of 4 of them also will post that....the big picture didn't turn out all that well, the lighting was bad in here that time of day.

I got 5 blocks done for the bali quilt that Misstreated posted. I didn't get anything done on the Crown Royal quilt. I need to complete all of my projects in the next 5 months as I've decided to go back to school after 20 years and finish my accounting degree. After 140 hours I'll have a BA in accounting with a minor in Criminal Justice:) I'm so terrified lol! Someone needs to promise me that they'll come kick my butt from Kansas to California if I chicken out! The prospect of Business Calculus leaves me with a brick in my stomache. It's too good of a deal to pass up though, the company I work for is paying 100% of tuition costs so I'd be a complete idiot not to.
