My mom wants me to find her a pattern for the"apple core". well I sent her the one I got from quilters cache and she said that it was ok but she thinks that there is an easier way to do it. well I have no idea. I looked at a couple different patterns but I just don't know what is easy and what is not.

so if anyone knows of an "easier" way to do it than the one in Quilters cache I would appreciate any help.

Thanx

I watched a video where they made one using a tempate and fusible web. The background fabric would be your main color and they cut out the fused fabric in the shape of the apple core.
When you lay out the fused shapes, the backing fabric becomes an apple core shape too... It is hard to explain, maybe someone else can do a better job :D:D:D

Check out
www.quiltsmart.com
website, i have been working on an apple core quilt this way for two summers..(it stays in my camper,so i have something to do when away and traveling.)
you iron it down on fabric.or muslin..your using 1 sided fusable, sewing it up,right sides together, and tunring it inside out, and pressing it down..is this what you mean?

OK. After the Grandmother's Flower Garden and the Log Cabin, I'm going to do an Apple Core...or maybe I'll do all of them at once!
