Your grapevine is fabulous. A few tendrils would look very nice. Yes, definitely do the tute on how you do those leaves. I am in awe. Thanks for sharing.

Catlinye, please post the tutorial. I am absolutely amazed at the grapevine. You are truly talented. What is the diameter of one grape? They are really tiny. Congratulations! We are all in awe and thanks for sharing.

Catlinye_maker - Your grapevine is even more beautiful when I see how small it is. A tutorial sounds good for me.

Thanks everyone for the kind words! I used a standard hole punch to make the template for the grapes; *measures* they're 1/4 inch in diameter.

I'll brush up that tutorial and post it in a day or two; it's not hard (not compared to making teeny tiny points) just time consuming.

I love applique. I do it with my embroidery machine. I have tons of applique designs and I have done a few by myself.

I am wrestling with whether to add tendrils in a soft green (not too many, just a few here and there) with embroidery or just leave it as is. It gets cut down to a bit over 2 inches wide (the points of the background squares are roughly at the edge of the finished size piece.) What do you guys think?

Also, if anyone's interested I could revise the tutorial I wrote on how to do the serrated leaves and put a link here.
That would be wonderful. Am always willing to learn. Your grapevine is outstanding.

Your grapevine looks like it has dimension. I think the tendrils would be appropriate. How can you have grapevine with out the tendrils?!
Are you using batiks? Did you embroider the veins on the leaves? I can't imagine making all those tiny grapes!
