I wanted to put this message in the Applique Section, but couldn't find a button with 'new toppic'
May be because it's midnight? or a 60+moment?

Anyway: Erin Russek just published the first lesson and video on her blog about appliqueing a bird.
I think it looks very good.

Applique is a user-defined topic, so you put your post wherever is appropriate (main, pictures, etc.) and then link it to the applique section.

How do you link it?

If you're the author of the topic, and if the Applique category is set up to allow authors to link to it (which most are, I think) then up at the top of the first page of your topic there should be 3 tabs - "Bookmark", "Watch", and "Add to Topics List". Select the "Add to Topics List" and you will get a list of the user-defined topics. Select Applique.

Sorry to ask a stupid question but...

Do I have to submit my topic first? Then go back into it and link it to the proper user defined section?

TIA.

Yes, you put your new topic in the appropriate "real" section (Main, Pictures, etc.) and after it's submitted you can link it to a virtual section.
