In clothing a size 12 is bigger than a size 10. But with the thread, I am not sure. They are all so fine to the feel of my fingers.

Can you un-confuse me?

With thread, the higher the number the finer the thread. 60wt thread is finer than 50wt.

if you visit Superior Threads web site they have lots of great info on threads, explaining the different types, what they are used for, the weights, the needles to use for the different threads- free charts you can print off- a great resource.
