What did we do before these little "free" containers?
I had an "aha" moment at the local thrift store yesterday. I am sure I am the last to know so forgive me if this has been brought up before.
I spotted an old silverware divider and it occurred to me that I could use it for log cabin strips. Of course I bought it. There was also a lot of fabric that was about 1/2 yd each. It looks like it is from maybe the 60's, It is cotton. Love those thrift stores.

Just a question??? You said you loved needle turn applique and yet you were using the KFC containers for the starch needed to make your applique pieces. I am confused if doing needle turn why do you need the spray starch?

I use them too, but in the bathroom for hair bands & such. Easy to grab & go when on the road. I also save & reuse the potato bowls from KFC. They are black with a clear lid. When I make chili, potato soup & stew, I always make a huge batch & fill several of these for the freezer. I then have one meal servings ready for the microwave. I can spend more time sewing instead of cooking. LOL
