I have an APQS Ult 1 and have had it for almost 15 yrs...bought it used-5 yrs- I have been using it on. Professional basis for all that time and NEVER have had any problems...but I must add I religiously keep it as lint free as I can, oil regularly and I do take a trip to the factory every 4/5 yrs to give it a spa day.......and me a weekend of antiquing, fabric shopping or whatever. I live in Illinois so it is a short road trip and well worth it. There is a learning curve, be patient...take a class if you can, I was fortunate to be able to take a day long class from Dawn Cavanaugh, who is now in administration w/company, and that was worth every penny...if you have questions don't hesitate contacting the company techs...they are great! Have fun, good luck

I have one. I used to quilt with my mother who recently passed & left it to me. We've used it for years and it's still running very well. My only issue (if you want to call it that) is that I'm not sure whether a stitch regulator is available for this model or not...not even sure I really want one. So far I've been doing well without a regulator, but I thought it would be nice for more detailed quilting.

Thanks Quiltergirl. From what I've read, a regulator is not available from APQS for that machine, however, you might be able to pick up an aftermarket one from someone that will fit it. Thats what I read somewhere. You might check the APQS forum.

IMHO, you just can't beat an APQS machine. I bought my Millenium in 2004 and have never had a problem with it except for operator malfunction. Go to the APQS website or better still, call them and they will tell you everything that you want to know. Their customer service is great.

I have mine up for sale with all of the booklets and information you need for it.
Would you be interested?

I consider the stitch regulator as UBER important in a LA system. Think again.

Buying one of these machines is very risky since you will not have any support from a local dealer which will offer service and classes. I agree with ckcowl, you have to find if the machine is a perfect fit for you. Good luck.
