I just made some aprons from scraps. Does anyone else do this? Gives me a break, but still sewing. Now I have a bug to do more. Does anyone have a favorite apron pattern to share? I think I will make some up for gifts. I did add some of the big rick-rack on one and a flounce with lace. Nothing I ever grandmother wear, I like the drama you get with a simple little item.

I make a reversible apron with pockets. I can look for the name and pattern when I get home from work. I have made the apron for my daughter when she left for college (I have several pictures of her cooking with boys who she makes wear the aprons) and also made one from my son's girlfriend. I have several myself. I am sort of a sloppy cook, so the aprons really protect my clothes.

Check out TIPNUT. They have masses of apron patterns, free.
Plus a whole lot of other stuff that is fun to make, or think of making down the line.

I don't have a specific pattern ... though can give you a suggestion as to how to!

Use your favourite quilt block for the bib with neck strap. Then a waistband on a gathered skirt.

A nice way to show off your quilting, and use up coordinating fabrics!

My favourite pattern is the Church Lady apron from Mary Mulari. Her website has several great patterns and the instructions are easy to follow. Most are reversible and have several possibilities.
