I am saddened by the fact that this woman has lost something she worked so hard on, and I hope the quilt is recovered!

Thanks! I just saw the article. They came down yesterday and spent a lot of time interviewing me. I am hoping that the article provides some motivation to get the quilt back to me.

I've relayed the story on another thread, "Lost Quilt," and the support I've gotten from this group of quilters is phenomenal!

good tips at the end of the article, I would just add another one - make sure the driver scans the label when he picks it up from you. I realize in this case it was being returned to the owner so it is beyond their control, but when you are sending out something valuable by UPS or USPS, have them scan the barcode in front of you.

Absolutely make sure they scan it, and make sure the number shows up on the UPS website. That was my mistake, and it's costing me dearly.
