Default Asking for suggestions

Working on another UFO from early 2003 class... Finished the 12 block, now thing of using setting block to finished. Blocks are 9" finished and with an inner and outer border finished quilt will be approx. 58" square.

Would you choose light, medium or dark setting blocks? Would appreciate your ideas

well i think a lighter color will wash your blocks ....i might go med to set them together and a med small border and a darker ..wider outer border

Since some of the blocks have light backgrounds, I'dprobably try them against a medium color or darker color for the alternate blocks. Otherwise, the light edges of the blocks might fade into the setting blocks.

I think I'd be tempted to sash all the pieced blocks in one color/fabric for cohesiveness, then use whatever alternating block different color works for you.

That's what I was thinking too, Jan. Light blocks would be too light, dark would be too dark. I like medium blocks but there are a lot of squares with medium background...so I would sash with a narrow dark fabric and then use a medium for the blocks. Just my opinion.
