Welcome to the Quilting Board!
The only thing I know about it is I want it!! That is gorgeous!!
Is there more, or does it end at their necks?
The artwork in the hair has an Australian Aboriginal look to it. Not sure about the faces.
Don't know anything about the fabric but Asoka I believe was a great emperer of India long ago but the fabric reminds me of Greek mythology - it is beautiful
Never heard of it, but sure do like it....
I copied the photos of it and sent it to my friend. Maybe she will know as she has lived abroad for many years and is familiar with different batiks from different places, Singapore, India, Indonesia, etc. Will let you know if she has some insight to it.
Thank you.Originally Posted by leiladylei54

Went to google for info on Asoka Batik. I don't know if it's a particular artist or a company but it comes from a coastal town on western Indonesia. Not much information since most sites were in bahasa Indonesia..... meaning Indonesia's language.
Thank you - I did try to find something on the internet before posting, but got nowhere quick!Originally Posted by leiladylei54
