    Attaching Buttons

I am wondering how to make them sit correctly. Not the regular ones with two or four holes, but the kind with a loop on the back. Jim got me some recently with little owls that I want to use in my snowman quilt. Is there a way to attach them and not have them wobble around?

This is what I do...after sewing the button on...take the remaining thread on your needles and wrap around the shank when it feel sturdy place the needle threw a coup,e of times and tie off. Should not wobble after that.

You can also make french knot "pillows" under the part that wants to fall down. I had some buttons that were pointed on each end that tended to flop around so I made big french knots under the points to hold (pillow) them up. You can even do the knot before you stitch the button between them if needed.
