I am just finishing up my third wall hanging and was told that a hanging sleeve would be best. I thought I was supposed to sew it into the back of the finished project. But is it supposed to be on the outside and removable?? ( I framed my other two)

Hanging sleeves are supposed to be on the back of the finished quilt. When you put a rod through the sleeve, you won't see the hanging sleeve at all. Sometimes people temporarily put hanging sleeves on quilts that will be hung in a show. After the show is over, the hanging sleeve can be removed and used again on another quilt. Did this answer your question?
