I would never have thought to do the spotted pinwheels that way, blending into the background as they do. The entire thing is amazing!

Are you sure you want an eye-catching border? What you have now is perfect on its own. Maybe a solid?

hugs,
Charlotte

I love it! There are no mistakes in quilting just different options! It's adorable and so colorful.

Not sure why you are beating yourself up. We ALL have made mistakes. It is great that you have the support of your DH. Who ever is getting this quilt is just going to LOVE this quilt and really, isn't that the reason we make quilts?? You did a great job in getting it done. Please post a picture when you finish this quilt.

After reading your post several times and looking at the pic several times I finally figured out what you had " fixed"...... So yes you did a great job...no one will know...and the cat is certainly not going to let it out of the bag!

What a wonderful cute quilt. A+ for you and your DH. I might of considered putting the spacer of fabric in the middle of those top pinwheel between the large and little. But if you did not say anything about it I don't think I would of noticed it. I am sure the child that gets this will think of it at all.

It took me forever to figure out what the issue was so its fine and blends in with the airy feeling. I'd like to see the border in your parchment color because the airiness is so nice around your pinwheels I want them to keep floating. . . . . . . If that makes any sense.

This came out adorable! I'm with the others that said they had to look at the small picture to see what you were referring to. Looks great!

I agree with someone else who said no one but you will ever notice your creative fix. I did notice how perfect all your points met in the pinwheels, and how cute and appropriate they are to the Cat in the Hat. Finish it and give it to the lucky little one.
