Can someone help me and my sister n law. She and her DH are visiting here for the holidays. She brought her new Babylock Sewing machine the Ellisimo. We have been trying to figure out if there is software you can put on your laptop to design what you want to embroidery and then transfer to the machine. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Kay

Don't know about that machine. I have a Baby Lock Ellure, it's about seven years old. I have software plus a gadget. I can download a design from a website. I then transfer it to a card that is inserted in my machine. My machines reads from the memory card.
My wording maybe all off. I'm not a techie type person. I can follow instructions but don't always know what or why I'm doing it.

Call your local Baby Lock dealer, give them your model number and they should be able to tell you what the machine can/cannot do...I'm thinking of possibly getting a Babylock next year...Do you like the way it sews???

Has she tried http://www.embird.com?
I don't have it but I think that's what it does.

I just googled for this machine and here is the specs:

http://www.babylock.com/sewing/ellisimo/

It looks like you can put designs on this machine and one place it says it has it's own memory, USB ports and mouse capabilities.

I would definitely get with a dealer and get some lessons....

I have a Baby Lock Quilter's Dream that I've had for about a year and a half. I love the way it sews. It was my upgrade from a basic Brother machine and I"m very please with it. I will say this, though, I haven't sewn on very many machines so my opinion is somewhat limited.

This is Babylocks software: http://www.designersgallerysoftware.com/products/

Great software but not cheap. The Ellisimo is one heck of a machine, I'm green with envy!

Yes, I love the sewing machine. I bought it about 300 miles from where I live so I didn't get to take any classes. That is why I don't know if it has a software program. I live in Utah but I'm in Illinois right now visiting my brother and sister-in-law for Thanksgiving.

I will have to call the dealer and ask some questions.

Thanks, Zel
