which decorative stitches have you been able to use successfully with the accu-feed system? I know the regular zig zag can be used. Supposedly any stitch that doesn't go backward should work but how do you tell? Do it with regular feet first on some scrap? Does anyone have any stitch numbers they've used with the A/F? I'd like to keep a list on my machine. Since I only do straight line quilting maybe some deco stitches will liven it up a bit.

Won't your machine give you a beep/error message if you try using the wrong stitch with that setting? Just wondering...

I don't think so. It doesn't have a special button or anything for the accufeed-you just put the special foot on and clip on the fingers thingie. The machine's computer wouldn't know it's on there.

my Janome tells me which foot to use but i've used my walking foot on several stitch choices and it doesn't seem to know!

I have a large snadwhich piece that I try out the different stitches on so I can see how they work out. I've never tried going backwards but will have to now.
