What's on my mind....hmmmm. Its saying "God, this is going to be a pain to figure out". lol.

Its also telling me I need a good pattern for the compass...like a marine star or something like that. Gonna need something that isn't going to drive me absolutely insane but still achieve what I'm looking for.

Oh, here's the original post of the idea...http://www.quiltingboard.com/posts/list/15/914.page There's a picture of what I had in mind...looks like crap but it works.

I know for sure your going to want this program. Go to
http://www.cosman.nl/software_en.html
it's free and it will help you do what you want. It's called the Quilt assistant.
Let me know. At least look at the first two pages of the manual-see if I'm on the same track here.
If that link doesn't send you there let me know

"V" You are so creative!!! I can't wait to see what you come up with for your final design. Its is a lot like watching one of those "to be continued" shows. Its so fascinating to watch creative minds at work--mine isn't--I just copy commercially prepared patterns!

Ooh this quilt is going to be so cool!

Do you have a map already? I looked at your first thread about this quilt and saw that you put up a map. Is that the one you're going to use?

I know you want it to be the from the game. I don't know if this in the game, or just fan art, but I thought maybe it would be helpful.

Billy Tee:
Have you used this program?? Just wondering- if it is too complicated I probably wouldn't use it, but would like to do quilted wall hamgings of grandchildren's faces if it would work for that.

It is not difficult at all. Especially if your a good quilter, I promise. Download it and print the maual out right away. As you start up, go step by step with the manual on your lap. You'll get it the idea, you just have to play around a bit :D

at the bottom of the program website it has updated versions for your computer. I have to run and pick up my 5 yr old, I'll be back in 10. If you have problems I can walk you through it.

No, this isn't directly from the game, but it looks like official artwork. Either that or some fan artist really did their homework...its got the "weathered artwork" look from the opening scenes of the game and its even got the islands and the grid written in the Hylian alphabet. I don't think I'll go for a full colored map like this one has. However...I do like that border. Great...now I'm gonna have a completely different design...more complicated awesomeness. lol.

I made this from a pattern I bought. My first attempt at paper piecing. It was a challenge at first but I got the hang of it. This is for my older sister who loves turtles. Can't wait to give it to her.
