So sorry to hear this! I hope that you can find a replacement quickly and that it is covered under warranty :D:D:D

I am too far south for Fresno , however the shop that is 35 miles away is ordering in the parts I need and if I come as soon as they open on the Saturday following the arrival of the parts they will put them in straight away in the morning. This is a blessing - thanks for the support:)

Was it polyester thread? I had a terrible time with my Superior Threads Rainbows shredding and breaking. It was such a pain. I just put the quilt away in frustration. But then the fair was coming up, so I tried a metalic thread needle. No more shredding! Why didn't I try it earlier? I was 3/4 of the way done when I switched types of needle. Of course that doesn't solve the needle threader problem. Sounds like that part is taken care of, though.

I tried a top stich needle today 90/14 and top thread kept breaking. I can sew normal cotton thread on the machine, but the Sulky variegated cotton is thicker I can pick up some metallic needles at Joann's next week. Thanks for the help!

The easiest way for me to thread a needle without a threader is to aim for the light behind the hole and not the hole itself.
