    Default Bali Pops Width Consistency?

There have been a lot of comments in the past about the lack of consistency in the cutting width of Hoffman-California Bali Pops 2.5 inch strips.

We had a sit-down and ordering session yesterday with our Hoffman rep, at the NoCal fabric show, and learned that Hoffman invested a lot of money into cutting guide equipment for their strips after the first release was so problematic, and the improvement on the last couple of generations of Balipops is dramatic because of that.

Has anyone noticed any problems with the third and fourth generation Bali Pops?

I have no problems and use them regularly. I love the selection of prints I get and they make up nicely in a quilt.

It's good to hear that Hoffman is addressing quality control issues. I love their Bali Pops and have not had any problems.

After a few dissapointing purchases ( accuracy) , I gave up on buying them. Still skeptical.. lots of $$$ if the problem is still there.

No problems here. How long ago was this change implemented?

We were told that they changed them beginning with the third generation bali-pops. The new ones are the fourth generation, so most of what you'll see for sale now is either third or fourth gen.

Hmmm I have a stack in my stash and have no idea if they're 2nd, 3rd, or 4th gen. I've purchased them in the last year, but have no idea how long they sat on the LQS shelf. Is there an actual date when they implemented this change?

There isn't a date on them that I know of but here are the "flavors" in the third and fourth generations --

Third Gen: Blue Hawaiian, Grasshopper, Mango Margarita, Pink Lemonade, Sangria, Zinfandel

Fourth Gen: Plum Pudding, Watermelon, Key Lime, Coconut, Cherry, Blueberry

Thank you, that was helpful. I have a Zin and a Grasshopper, so I guess I'm okay!
