A friend, who is a member of a local tribe and enjoys traditional basket making, gave me images of local basketry patterns, which I am converting to quilting patterns. Some of the names are delightful, such as "grizzly, his paw" and "frog fingers". Are any of you doing cross media design work?

Some are very simple. Several occur in many tribe's artwork. One is the same as delectible mountains. Some are interesting for the names. Many have no known name.

That's okay, a deal is a deal but we'll be watching for that first finished quilt! Thanks for sharing a couple of the images, they are interesting to see.
