I recently purchased the 24 piece batik fat quarter bundle that Connecting Threads has. It will be a quilt called "Sailboats" which I can not find on the net. It has a total of 16 sailboats all radiating outward. Looks perfect for a scrappy type quilt. Found pattern in "1001 Patchwork designs" by Maggie Malone. A few of the pieces in the group I have will be too light for my use, but I have more than enough to do a good variation.

I bought 3 batik charms but haven't used them yet either. Am waiting for the right project. Also bought 24 fat quarters of batiks at the same time. Thought I'd find a project using all of this. I also have yardage for borders and binding. I'm ready, just waiting for the right pattern.

i just bought a batik layer cake from connecting threads. i ordered it so i could get an idea as to what their batiques were like, i plan on making a king size quilt as a wedding gift. ordering the layer cake is allowing me to sew with the fabrics first. i'm going to make that super easy layer cake quilt from the missouri star company....
