batiks - two or three colors to use together?

According to your own tastes... if you were to pick two or three colors of batiks to use together in a project of your choosing, which colors would you use?

I like the warm tones of fall, Orangy red, yellowy with another color, and a great chestnut brown that had some great fall colors with it.
Every year I look for a really great chestnut brown that has other fall colors mixed in( small scale) ... still looking.

Ditto - I love fall colored batiks - I have lots in my stash - seems like everytime I am at the LQS I pick up another fat quarter.

That would be my pick, too... some mossy greens, some warm browns, a dull gold, &/or a muted rust... YUM! And to think I didn't used to like batiks!!!

I made the attached "Yellow Brick Road" for my DH out of a variety of earthy batiks (I think they were McKenna Ryan's). He loves it. I think it looks like mud (tho I do like the panto on it --- moose & pine trees). But not because of the batiks... the pattern just wasn't the right one (IMHO). But, he LOVES it & that's all that matters.

I would pick a green and aqua combo. Probably 2 medium values and a light.

Violet, teal, and emerald if I was going for everything in the same family. Brights of each so that I could pair them with black and make them pop! Mad jewel tone love over here.
