If I were to order warm and white batting, 90" by 40 yds, how big would the box be?
I guess what I'm asking is, is the 90" folded in half? Thirds?
I'm assuming the 40 yds is rolled, how much space does it take up? About is fine, exact measurements not needed

It may be folded in half, but may not be. It will take up a lot of space. You will need to stand it up if you have no pole available for it. Plan on at least a square foot of space. It will not fit behind any door!

It is folded to be 45" high. The box is about 15" by 15" by about 50 inches high. I store mine in the garage.

Actually, the width is folded in half and then rolled on a roll. I find the 90" to be the best size for most quilts. I am about to finish my 5th 40yd roll.

to my knowledge it only comes in one size...90 inches folded in half to 45 inches...at least that's the warm and natural/white

Mine is folded in half so it is 45 inches high but folds out to 90 inches. It works for everything I make. Even the BIG quilts.

I bought a whole "bolt" or roll of 120" batting, and it came shrink wrapped. It was long, but not 120".
When I burst the wrapping to free the batting, it erupted and got every bit of 120" long and big around as a bale of hay!!
It lives on a pole under my LA table.

I did the same thing a couple of years ago...it's great to have the wide batting, but storage can be an issue. My DH mounted mine on chains and a pole so I have access to it. He didn't like me trying to pull it off the shelf above my head. I'm just about due for another bolt of it.
