I have always used poly batting, but I keep hearing about others on here. I went to the fabric store today and checked out all the different kinds of batting and I am confused. I know Warm and Natural is supposed to be great. I also found a Quilters 80/20. 80% cotton and 20%poly. Has anyone used this. I saw the bamboo batting but that is sooooo expensive. What kind would you suggest. Help.

I have tried the 80/20 and I personally do not like it. It stretches too much. I prefer the warm & natural. Bamboo is way to expensive for me. I always buy w&n when it is 50% off at JoAnns.

I use the warm and natural. I like the look of it after quilting. and it feels so soft and warm.

I always use the Warm & Natural. I buy it by the 40 yard bolt when it is 50% off from JoAnns (Their website), and I have it delivered to my door.

My favorite batting is Quilter's Dream. I use it for all the large quilts I make. I love the way it quilts up and makes a quilt look so yummy after it is washed. For baby quilts, wall hangings, table runners, etc I always use Warm and Natural. I also buy it at JoAnn's or Hancock's with a coupon.

I have just started using Hobbs Heirloom Premium an 80/20 blend. Was really pleased how it machine quilted for me. It's heavier than the Fairfield Cotton Classic--also an 80/20 blend--I was using before.

I like Hobb's Heirloom 80/20. I can prewash it for a crisp look or not for an antiquey look. It feels great to sew on and and has a nice drape. Bearding is not an issue. I also like that it is moderately priced and generally easy to find.

The last 2 quilts I've hand quilted, I've used the Fairfield Quilter's 80/20. I can get this at WalMart as well as my LQS (about the same price and the service is much better at my LQS!!!!)

I haven't tried to pre-wash it but after quilting, it does up just great!

Thanks for all the feedback. I need to wait til the fabric store runs the batting 50% off again. Thanks again.
